BLP – Book Lovers Program:
The Book Lovers’ Program for Union Christian Public School is a reading program designed to get children to love reading storybooks. Working together with schools, the Book Lovers Program for Schools motivate students to read English storybooks. This is made possible through building their enthusiasm in stories through storytelling. The major components of the program are workshops for teachers on storytelling, Storybooks chosen for each age group with accurate theme, complexity and vocabulary, story telling visits by experienced storytellers and activity books. Designed around storybooks that encourage reading and help the language department achieve creativity, better comprehension and communication skills.
